Care Information Systems
Ideal offer health systems staff the opportunity to gain a range of vocational qualifications as part of the Care Information Systems (CIS) competency based learning programme. The programme promotes a culture of information quality, security, confidentiality and use of the care information systems delivered through the National Programme for IT. It builds competencies in using existing systems and prepares staff for the introduction and use of new systems.
There are seven units in the CIS programme:

• Projects and programme management
• Preparation and testing
• End user system essentials planning
• Supporting technology
• Support and delivery management
