As part of the continued growth strategy of the company, Ideal has recruited Andrew Raynes to develop and roll out a programme of accredited training courses in line with the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework.
The training courses provide opportunities for the continuous professional development of NHS staff through the Care Information System Users Competencies and Qualification.
Andrew brings over 13 years experience in education, training and development within the NHS. He joins Ideal from Connecting for Health where he was the ETD Programme Manager for the Southern Programme for IT.
Prior to joining the NHS Connecting for Health, Andrew was the Education, Training and Development Lead for the National Programme in the former Avon, Gloucester and Wiltshire Strategic Health Authority Workforce Development Confederation. Andrew’s career has also included a role as the Assistant Director of Information Management and Technology at Bath and North East Somerset Primary Care Trust.
At Ideal, Andrew will be responsible for leading on education quality and accreditation. He will be adding bespoke and customised vocational awards to the Care Information System User Competencies and Qualification (CIS UCQ). These will be consistent with the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) and the Health Informatics National Occupational Standards (HINOS) and will provide professional development routes into further and higher education.
CEO of Ideal, Chris Brimble said “Ideal are expanding and developing in line with the changing and growing demands of the healthcare market. As part of our business strategy, we are developing and implementing a range of accredited training courses to support staff in the NHS."
“Andrew has a wealth of relevant experience to work with NHS Trusts and other healthcare providers to allow staff to maximise the benefits of accredited health informatics courses and training on new systems being rolled-out through the Connecting for Health change programmes.”
