Ideal is reinforcing its commitment to the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework and continuous professional development through the Care Information System User Competencies and Qualification.
Ideal are working with key influencers from Connecting for Health (CfH) to develop and roll out a framework of accredited training courses to support government plans to improve uptake of level 2 qualifications by staff in the NHS.
Ideal are adding bespoke and customised vocational awards to the Care Information System User Competencies and Qualification (CIS UCQ) mapping to the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) and the Health Informatics National Occupational Standards (HINOS).
All courses have been designed to comply with the NHS CfH Health Informatics Quality Scheme (HIQS) and include Information Governance, National Care Record Service, Choose and Book, PACS, Change Management, Essential Computer Skills and many more.
As part of the CIS UCQ, Ideal are able to offer new and exciting partnerships with NHS Trusts, SHAs, PCTs, GP practices and NHS suppliers to accredit local in-house training delivery.
By attending the courses, health care professionals can also gain valuable CPD credits contributing to Degree level courses at participating universities.
Ideal are working closely with Andrew Raynes, former Education, Training and Development Programme Manager at CfH (Southern Programme for IT).
Andrew explains, “This is an exciting opportunity for all health care staff to gain the benefits of accredited vocational training on new syste ms being rolled-out through the Connecting for Health change programme. The opportunities for organisations to work in partnership with Ideal are significant, particularly given the promise of the NHS Care Records Guarantee, need for improved patient safety and the Corporate Manslaughter Act”.
