Ideal enhance patient safety through effective training and evaluation.
Ideal are presenting on health informatics competency frameworks at 4pm on Tuesday 28 April in the Suppliers Demonstration Theatre at HC2009. They will explore the value of training and evaluation in delivering eHealth systems supporting CPD and workforce development.
The session will cover systemic challenges which encourage staff to attend training and ensure competency in using systems. Ideal will highlight the advantages of accredited role based competency training and evaluation.
The presentation will be delivered by Andrew Raynes, Director of Education, Training and Accreditation at Ideal and Mark Lovatt, Technical Director at Ideal.
Andrew and Mark will emphasise how essential it is for health systems users to be fully trained in the use of care information systems to ensure patient safety.
Andrew explains, "Many users are inadequately prepared for system deployments which has an enormous impact on th success and effectiveness of any project. There is a real risk that users fail to fully appreciate the significance of the Information Quality and Darzi.
"In today's climate, Trusts need to enhance their accountability and ensure they have access to all the information required. Ideal's Care Information Systems User Competency Qualification (CIS UCQ) franework provides a means by which Trusts can innovate training for maximum benefit, patient safety and high quality information."
