We are currently looking to fill the following roles:

Ideal Health are a leading digital health consultancy, supporting healthcare organisations at all stages of their digital journey from strategy and business case, through implementation, optimisation and benefits realisation. We are currently looking to expand our consulting division and require a digital strategy consultant with business case, procurement and programme management experience to support our clients on a range of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supporting healthcare organisations in the areas of; digital strategy, Requirements definition, Business case development, Benefits planning, mobilisation and programme management.

The role

  • Help clients to develop and implement appropriate digital strategies that are suitably aligned and mapped to meet their clinical and business needs, including integrated care initiatives
  • Gain a strong understanding of client’s goals and objectives and provide the required thought leadership, advice and support to enable them to achieve those goals
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to elicit requirements, analyse strategic options, prioritise objectives
  • Assist in the production of robust outline and full business cases (following the ‘green book’ 5 case model)
  • Write reviews and reports that provide analysis of key issues and reasoned recommendations
  •  Assure the quality and strategic relevance of all project deliverables

Skills and experience

  • Experience in senior roles within Healthcare IT, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the UK healthcare market including the NHS, its services, environment and current issues and preferably with experience of social care, local authorities and other public and 3rd sector bodies
  • Strong Health systems experience across Acute and other care settings
  • Experience in areas such as; digital strategy, EPR strategy, Requirements definition, Business case development, Transformation and Change and Programme management.
  • Knowledge of process flows, systems and procedures within a variety of health, social care and regional cross organisational collaboration and care settings
  • A sound knowledge of stakeholder engagement techniques and their application
  • Ability to manage teams of consultants and work with cross functional and client facing teams
  • Excellent verbal communication skills – able to relate to and build rapport with operational and clinical staff at all levels and from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at a senior level
  • A structured approach with the ability to think and plan tactically and creatively and to prioritise work programs in the face of competing demands

We are currently looking to expand our Transformation and Change division and require an experience Change Manager to support our clients across the UK with their Digital transformation projects. You will work closely with our client’s programme teams to determine opportunities for operational excellence through changes in business process, system and technology. This will require someone who wants to improve healthcare and help drive forward change within our client’s organisations through strategic direction, enabling a solid base for clinical improvements both now and in the future.

The role

  • To Support the change initiatives within clinical services by working with internal and external stakeholders in developing digital healthcare
  • Working on initiatives to introduce change and relevant communication plan to ensure clinical engagement for required outcomes
  • Take a lead role in re-designing care pathways and processes, developing plans for benefit realisation and delivery of the desired benefits and outcomes.
  • Work alongside Managerial, Clinical and Administrative Staff and IT Services suppliers, to ensure accurate mapping of existing processes, identify underlying issues and propose resolution
  • Recommend Best Practice, different ways of working, new processes and plan for migration
  • Help define user profiles to enable the safe implementation of system change such that right level of access granted for the right process intervention

Skills and experience

  • Excellent communication and business transformation expertise of implementing digital initiatives in large and diverse environments.
  • Knowledge and experience of industry standard Change Management methodologies (APMG), modelling techniques and tools.
  • Healthcare/ NHS experience as a senior change lead ideally with clinical background
  • Hands-on knowledge of a number of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems within Acute or Mental Health and Community care setting.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management with proficiency in communicating the required changes of large-scale implementations to a cross section of staff including clinical, managerial and administrative staff groups.
  • Proficient in Project Planning and Control Techniques and experience in using a structured project methodology e.g. PRINCE2.
  • Experience of working on programmes that focus on delivering integrated across the NHS and local authorities

We are currently looking to expand our consulting division and require a Programme Manager with proven experience in the planning and implementation of health systems projects within the NHS.

The role

  • The successful delivery of the required programme outcomes
  • The establishment of appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues and ensure business readiness for change
  • Ensure that dependencies between projects are managed effectively
  • Enable the programme to meet its objectives and deliver projected benefits
  • Provide ongoing strategic alignment and viability of the programme vision and business case
  • Lead, direct and manage all resources across the programme
  • Ensure delivery against the programme brief and business case and manage dependencies between projects
  • Establish baseline, track and monitor programme costs, time and budgets
  • Monitor and control delivery progress
  • Interface with senior stakeholders and gain the commitment necessary to progress
  • Monitors the delivery of objectives and benefits, taking appropriate action where necessary to ensure their successful delivery
  • Manages key strategic risks
  • Deals with issues as they arise requiring advice, decision-making and communication with senior stakeholders

Skills and experience

  • Strong track record of IT Programme management, managing the delivery of large IT Transformation programmes in a healthcare setting
  • APM Practitioner/Professional and/or PRINCE2 and MSP Practitioner
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of applying blended delivery methods in order to achieve programme outcomes
  • Able to recommend how financial and other resources should be allocated across the programme in order to optimise the delivery
  • Strong ability to influence decisions and direction with senior stakeholders
  • Exemplary stakeholder management skills and an enduring focus on user needs
  • Able to assess risks and issues, work with teams to generate and execute effective mitigation and contingency countermeasures
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong health systems knowledge
  • Experience of building and managing blended teams of various practice areas
